Program Overview
This one-month Spanish immersion program combines language learning, cultural exploration, and real-life communication. Students live with a local Chilean host family and attend daily Spanish classes taught by certified instructors.
You’ll not only study grammar and conversation — you’ll experience how Chileans truly speak, think, and live.
Weekly Structure
Week Focus Key Activities
Week 1: Welcome to Chile & Survival Spanish Basic grammar, introductions, greetings, everyday expressions. Orientation tour of the city, visit to local market (La Vega), cooking class with host family.
Week 2: Building Confidence in Conversation Vocabulary expansion, pronunciation practice, listening comprehension. Spanish movie night, visit to Museo de la Memoria, and guided walk through Barrio Bellavista or Valparaíso hills.
Week 3: Real Communication & Local Culture Slang (chilenismos), past tense, expressing opinions, storytelling. Family day trip, salsa dance or cueca class, language exchange with Chilean students.
Week 4: Living the Language Advanced dialogues, cultural comparisons, presentation skills. Day excursion to Cajón del Maipo or Pucón waterfalls, final oral presentation, farewell dinner.
Daily Schedule

9:00 – 12:30 Spanish classes (grammar, conversation, listening)
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch with classmates or host family
14:00 – 17:00 Cultural activity, field trip, or free study time
Evenings Dinner and conversation with host family (full immersion!)
Accommodation: Homestay Experience
Students live with carefully selected Chilean families who provide:
Private room with Wi-Fi and weekly laundry
Two meals per day (breakfast and dinner)
Supportive environment for daily Spanish practice
Immersion in local traditions and lifestyle
Living with locals helps you gain fluency naturally — every meal becomes a conversation lesson.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the program, participants will:
Understand and use common Chilean expressions and vocabulary.
Communicate confidently in daily situations (shopping, transport, dining, socializing).
Improve listening comprehension of fast, natural Chilean Spanish.
Develop intercultural understanding and confidence speaking with locals.
